As some measures have have not yet been put into action, Florida earns a D in 2021. We're at the bottom of the pack in the Southeast.
That puts over 67% of US states at adequate or below in preparedness or coastal resiliency. Maine, Maryland and California are at the head of the class in 2021. With the new federal Infrastructure Bill passed in DC in November, 2021 the hope is that many more states will join them in the 2022 State of the Beach Report. Read the full report here.
