• Great Lakes surfer and environmental protection advocate
• Designer at CleanTech start-up Powerleap.net
the inspiration for the short film is a combination of knowledge and experience:
As the depletion of natural resources, such as potable water, becomes a growing concern for regions around the world, exportation of local fresh water seems
inevitable. Surfing the lakes is a fleeting experience. Surfing the lakes with the knowledge and understanding of its inherent value is an overwhelmingly visceral emprise.

Alejandro Antolinez
Member of Surfrider Europe. Living in Biarritz gave me a privileged relationship with water. With nature, apart from aquatic sports (surfing, canoeing, diving) i practice mountain sports (climbing, hiking) and my allowed to see that nature is a chain connected.
Action in the earth at a repercussion in the sea
For video, I expected every winter severe storms to film the sea
Principally in Biarritz lighthouse or there is a fabulous view of the sea.
There is a cave during heavy swells is overwhelmed by the waves banging against the rocks.
But be very careful and some times it is better not stay to close.
If you want to see a complete video of a day last year, my winning video is taken from here.
Video: "Keep it Clean"
Adam Fricke
Winter Springs, FL
My name is Adam Fricke. I'm 19 years old and I'm from Florida. I love to surf, play music, and travel. I've traveled extensively for surfing and every place I've visited, I've had the pleasure of being immersed in some beautiful water. Since the earth has been blessed with so much water, I feel it's important to preserve it so that future generations can have the privilege of enjoying it just as we do. And to do that, we must, well...Keep it Clean!
