Surfrider Emerald Coast Chapter Chairman Mike Sturdivant Earns National Props At 2011 Wavemakers Awards Ceremony

One cold, hard truth about surfing culture is that the men and women riding waves receive far more attention than those working behind the scenes to protect those waves. But Surfrider Foundation’s annual Wavemakers awards ceremony, held this year at Talega Golf Club in San Clemente, CA, on February 4th, strove to change that, honoring the individuals and companies that make a difference through their selfless volunteer efforts to help Surfrider fulfill its mission of protecting oceans, waves, and beaches.
